PASTOR: Rev. Steve Hubbard

Reverend Steve Hubbard has been Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church since 2002. He holds a bachelors degree from Cedarville University in Marketing and minors in Political Science and Bible. He is currently continuing his education at Andersonville Theological seminary, working toward a Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry.
Prior to coming to Ebenezer Baptist Church, he was the Associate Pastor at Grand Stand Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from 1990 to 2002. Areas of responsibility at Grand Strand included youth, education, ministry coordination and all pastoral responsibilities in senior pastor’s absence as well as family and marital counseling. He also organized community evangelism campaigns and worked on the statewide Jesus Video offering theological, biblical training and education.
Pastor Steve and his wife Catrina are the parents of Caleb (Shelby) Hubbard, Cheryse, Lauryn, and Danielle (Trevor) Snider. Steve and Catrina are also the grandparents of Ella and Emerlynn.

Pastor Tim Coleman began serving our church as Youth and Music Leader in 2010. His duties include coordinating and leading the worship music. His work with youth involves conducting Sunday evening youth group, implementing youth trips, events and Bible studies.
He also helps with the Friend to Friend Bible study at Logan High School.
Born in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Tim grew up in Rutland, Ohio. Before coming to Ebenezer Baptist Church, Tim was involved in a jail ministry in Pomeroy and Middleport, Ohio and assisted with pastoring a mission in The Plains, Ohio.
Tim has been on two mission trips with Builders for Christ and a mission trip to La Tortue, Haiti. Music and reading are among Tim’s interests.
Tim and his wife Christina are the parents of two children: Aiden and Grace.
Christopher Johnson just joined our staff in June of 2014. He has received his Bachelors from Ohio University in Business Management. Christopher assists Steve and Tim with pastoral and administrative responsibilities within Ebenezer Baptist.
Before beginning work here, Christopher worked at the Citizens Bank of Logan. He is happily married to Faith and enjoys teaching and theology.
Christopher and his wife Faith have a daughter, Amelia.


Emery Howdyshell assists Pastor Steve and Tim as our church’s Compassion Ministry/Pastoral Support. Emery makes ministry and evangelistic visits. He also provides information to new and perspective members among other duties. He began serving in this position in 2012.
Before beginning this position, Emery served in the Air Force from 1968 to 1972. He retired from the Post office in 2012 after 37 years. In his spare time, Emery enjoys history and spending time with his family.
Emery and his wife Jane are the parents of Beth (Jim) Martin and Heather (Greg) Dickerson. They have four grandchildren: Jeremiah Martin, Emerie, Henry, Greta, and Norah Dickerson.
Karen Westenbarger has served as our church secretary since 2003. Among her duties are maintaining church membership and ministry records, creating and printing the church bulletin, and assisting Pastor Steve and Tim Coleman.
Away from the office, Karen enjoys being outside and working in the family garden. Karen and her husband Chuck are the parents of Phil (Shawna) Westenbarger. They have two grandchildren, Ryanne Grace and Paul Jameson (PJ).


Mike Helber became our Custodial/Maintenance Director in 2004. Mike is responsible for upkeep and repairs that are need at both the Main Campus and the Heritage Center.
Mike enjoys golfing, sports, and vacations with family. He also is active in our church’s missions ministry including coordinating various missions trips.
Mike is married to Gayla Helber. Their family includes Mike’s daughter Chrissy and Gayla’s son Kelsy. They are the grandparents of Jaiden, Mattison and Malaina.


Deb Stimmel began serving our church as Custodial/Maintenance in 2012. Her duties include upkeep at the Main Campus and the Heritage Center.
Deb and her husband Don are the parents of three children: Amy (Jason) Keith, Vicki (Jake) Rafferty, and Shane (Kristen) Stimmel. They have six grandchildren: JJ, Mason, Trinity, Lillian, Lydia, and Parker.
